Sparku is a note capture app that lets you save text, voice memos, and photos into projects and folders. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
Information We Access
- Text you create inside the app
- Voice recordings you choose to make
- Photos you choose to capture or import
- Speech recognition results used to transcribe your recordings
How Information Is Used
- Creating and editing notes
- Saving voice memos and photos to your sparks
- Organizing content into projects and folders
- Searching your saved content
- Saving images back to your photo library when you request it
Permissions
- Camera: to take photos and attach them to a spark
- Microphone: to record voice memos
- Speech Recognition: to transcribe recorded voice into text
- Photo Library: to import images or save previewed images back to Photos
These permissions are used only when you actively choose the related feature.
Data Storage
Your content is primarily stored on your device. This includes text, imported images, captured photos, and recorded audio associated with your sparks.
If future versions of Sparku offer cloud sync or backup features, this policy may be updated to explain those services.
Data Sharing
Sparku does not sell your personal information.
Sparku does not share your content with third parties except when required to provide an Apple system service you explicitly use, such as speech recognition, photo library access, or iCloud-related services if enabled in a future version.
Data Retention
Content you create remains on your device until you edit or delete it, or until the app is removed from your device. If you delete a spark, associated media files may also be removed from local storage.
Your Choices
- Decline optional permissions
- Delete notes, voice memos, and photos you created in the app
- Remove the app from your device
- Manage permissions in iOS Settings
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep app data handled securely on-device. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
Sparku is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can address the issue.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
