Privacy Policy
Pattern is designed to help you log symptoms, mood, triggers, and notes without sending your personal tracking history to a developer-controlled backend.
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Overview
Pattern is an offline-first self-tracking app. In the current version, Pattern does not require account creation and does not transmit your symptom logs, mood entries, trigger history, or notes to servers operated by the developer.
What Pattern stores
Your entries, severity values, tags, reminders, and export files are stored on your device unless you choose to share an exported file yourself.
What Pattern does not do
Pattern does not use account login, third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cloud sync in the current release.
Information We Collect
Pattern does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials through the app because the app does not include account registration.
Pattern also does not collect your symptom logs, mood history, trigger selections, severity ratings, or notes on remote servers controlled by the developer.
How Data Is Stored
Your tracking data is stored locally on your device. If you use the export feature, Pattern creates files on your device and those files are only shared if you explicitly choose to share them using system share options.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Pattern requests permission to send local notifications. Reminder scheduling happens on-device. Notification content is not sent to a remote server by the developer.
Third-Party Services
In the current version, Pattern does not use third-party analytics providers, ad networks, external identity providers, or developer-operated cloud infrastructure for app functionality.
Data Deletion
You can delete entries within the app. If you delete the app from your device, the operating system may also remove locally stored app data, subject to system behavior and any files you exported outside the app.
Children's Privacy
Pattern is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support channel you operate for this app, you should remove that information from your records as appropriate.
Medical Disclaimer
Pattern is a self-tracking tool for personal observation. It does not diagnose medical conditions, provide treatment advice, or replace professional medical care.
Changes to This Policy
If the app's data practices change in a future release, this Privacy Policy should be updated before or at the time those changes take effect.
