Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how FocusTimer ("the App") handles information when you use the app. FocusTimer is designed as a privacy-first productivity app with no account system and no required backend services.
1. Information We Collect
FocusTimer does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal profile information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the app.
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- Timer settings such as focus duration, break duration, sound, haptics, and theme preferences.
- Session history, including timer type, planned duration, completed duration, and timestamps.
- Custom presets you create for focus and break sessions.
2. How Your Information Is Used
Your information is used only to operate the core features of the app, including:
- Running timers and restoring timer state after interruptions.
- Saving your session history and settings on-device.
- Providing local progress insights, trend views, and preset management.
FocusTimer does not sell your data and does not use your data for advertising.
3. Notifications
If you grant notification permission, FocusTimer may send local notifications on your device when a focus session or break ends. These notifications are generated locally and are not sent through a remote account-based system.
4. Data Storage
FocusTimer stores app data locally on your device. Based on your Apple platform settings, device backups may include app data through Apple system backup mechanisms. FocusTimer does not operate its own user database or cloud account service for this data.
5. Third-Party Services
FocusTimer is designed to work without mandatory third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or account providers. If the app is updated in the future to include optional third-party services, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
6. Children's Privacy
FocusTimer is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data Deletion
Because FocusTimer primarily stores data on your device, you can delete your data by deleting session records inside the app where available, resetting app settings, or uninstalling the app from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
